What’s in the box?
Foodbox offers three different sizes containing selected fruit, vegetables, and key pantry staples which will provide three meals a day for the nominated people for a week. Please check the product listing for the full list of items. Items are whole, giving you complete freedom to use the Foodbox however you like!

Where are the items sourced?
Foodbox sources all their fresh high-quality products direct from reputable primary New Zealand producers, farmers and growers.

Can I change the contents of a Foodbox?
To keep costs as low as possible for the consumer, the contents of a Foodbox is unable to be changed.

Why is this food available?
Foodbox works with primary producers, farmers and growers who usually supply to hospitality businesses who are now closed due to the L4 status. By purchasing from Foodbox you are supporting New Zealand producers, farmers and growers and keeping this food from landfill.

How soon will I get my Foodbox after placing my order?
Each Foodbox uses fresh seasonal goods which are packed and delivered within 48 hours to ensure maximum freshness.

How is Foodbox adhering to COVID-19 L4 food safety protocols?
Having operated for over 10 years, Foodbox packs and prepares all boxes in a hospitality factory according to strict safety standards. Additionally, Foodbox has implemented further hygiene practises in line with New Zealand government’s COVD-19 guidelines for groceries. These measures include:
 

• Regular washing of hands including before and after each break
• Regular sanitising of hands including every time staff enter the packing area
• Social distancing with minimum 2 metre separation
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for packers and drivers including high viz, mask, gloves and hairnets
• Minimum 15-minute breaks between shifts and split breaks for all staff to ensure social distancing is adhered to
• All work areas cleaned down and surfaces sanitised between shifts
• Only two entry points onto the site per shift, where anyone must use hand sanitiser on entry
• No external visitors on site
• Deliveries containing perishable products like meat, milk, and cheese are packaged in a chiller box with an ice pack to keep them fresh

 
Each Foodbox is delivered direct to your door. Boxes will be delivered contactless according to the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment guidelines to ensure zero contact and maximise safety for customers and team members.

Where can Foodbox deliver to?
Foodbox is currently available to Auckland Metro, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington & Christchurch addresses. Further regions might be added for delivery in the future so please check back soon.

Foodbox purchases produce direct from high-quality farmers and growers in bulk and uses minimal packaging in aim to keep prices as low as possible to offer a fair price to both consumers and suppliers.
